The Chapter

The Los Angeles/Orange County Chapter was chartered in 2006.

The Chapter meets at 0900 hours on the third Saturday of each month at the Brea Veterans Club.  The Brea Veterans Club is located at 735 S. Brea Boulevard in Brea, California.  

On 1 October several Chapter members attended a ceremony at Whittier College to see an honorary degree presented to BG (Ret) Pete Dawkins.  BG Dawkins is a West Point graduate and a Heisman Trophy winner and Rhodes Scholar.  He was a member of the Academy's 1958 undefeated team and served with the 1st Cavalry Division as an Intelligence Officer.  He is a Vietnam Veteran.  Chapter Secretary, Fred Bergerson, Whittier College's Professor of Political Science. presided over the ceremony.

The Chapter provided invaluable assistance to the San Bernardino Chapter during the 60th Annual Reunion of the 1st Cavalry Division Association in Riverside, California 11-15 July 2007.
