ELECTION OF OFFICERS - REUNION 2012
The By Laws of the Association
provide that the Officers and members of the Board of Governors shall be elected
by the General Membership at the General Membership meeting conducted during the
Annual Reunion. Further, that the President may appoint a Nominating
Committee to nominate candidates for office and that other nominations may be
made by Life members from the floor at the General Membership meeting. The
Resolutions of the Trust Agreement of the Foundation of the 1st Cavalry Division
Association and the By Laws of the Museum Foundation require the election to the
Board of Trustees for positions coming vacant each year shall occur at the
Annual Reunion. Candidates for all offices must be Life members of the
Association.
The President has appointed a nominating committee to recommend Life members of the Association for election or re-election to fill the terms of office for the following positions that become vacant as of 9 June 2012:

Vice President
3rd
Vice President
Ten
Places on the Board of Governors
Two Trustees of the Foundation
Two Trustees of the Museum
Foundation
Any Life member of the Association,
including an incumbent, who wishes to be considered by the nominating committee
for one of these positions should forward a letter to the Chairman, 2012
Nominating Committee,
The election will be held during the General Membership meeting at the 65th Annual Reunion of the Association on Saturday 9 June 2012 in Portland, Oregon. Nominations from the floor will be accepted. A Life member making such nomination will be expected to provide the information outlined above on the nominee and in addition provide assurance that the nominee is either present at the General Membership meeting or has agreed to accept nomination to the specified office.
