World War II Book of Honor


The names of the 1,154 Troopers of the 1st Cavalry Division that were killed in action or died from wounds while serving their country during World War II are listed below by unit.  These Troopers are commonly referred to as America's greatest generation.  They defended our country in the Pacific Theatre of Operations earning campaign streamers for service in New Guinea, Bismarck Achipelago, Leyte (with arrowhead) and Luzon.  

We remember their sacrifice and honor their service.  These Cavalry Troopers will never be forgotten!
